Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a full-time Service Technician II in Houston, TX. You will diagnose, repair and perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftops, chillers, boilers and water-source systems.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, HVAC certificate, EPA Universal Certification, and a valid driver’s license. 3+ years of related experience preferred; OSHA-10 and CPR/First Aid are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years related experience or equivalent education with increasing responsibility.
• Technical HVAC training or certificate required.
• EPA Universal Technician certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment: log, clean coils, replace filters/belts, lubricate.
• Repair/replace defective equipment and wiring in various HVAC systems (roof, water source, AHUs, towers).
• Inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns/callbacks.
• Assist w/ warranty service by testing and verifying system functionality.
• Guide Level I technicians through troubleshooting and repair steps.
• Intro to centrifugal rebuilds with Lead/Level III technicians.
• Record billing, inventory, timecards, and other reports timely.
• Communicate status to customers before, during, after service.
• Participate in regional/onsite training and maintain required certifications.
• Maintain clean work area and follow OSHA/Daikin safety policies.
