Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas in Austin, TX is seeking a Service Technician II to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and air handling systems. Qualifications

• 3+ years related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support as required.
• Required license(s)/training card as required by local law district.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters and belts.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment and wiring related to fan coils, heat pumps, AHUs, rooftops, cooling towers and tubes.
• Inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns and callbacks.
• Perform warranty service inspections and testing to verify functionality.
• Lead Level I technicians through hands-on troubleshooting steps.
• Assist with centrifugal rebuilds under supervision.
• Record billing, inventory, timecards and reports promptly.
• Communicate with customers with status updates before, during and after service.
• Participate in regional training and maintain required certifications and safety policies.
