Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Service Technician II to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial HVAC systems across various facilities. You will independently diagnose typical issues, handle refrigerants per EPA guidelines, and support senior technicians on complex calls while mentoring entry-level staff.

This role offers hands-on training, certification opportunities, and a clear path for advancement within our nationwide service operations, with regular travel to assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
• EPA Section 608 certification or equivalent is a plus (if applicable).
• Experience with commercial HVAC service, maintenance, and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleanings, lubrications, and minor adjustments on commercial HVAC equipment.
• Independently diagnose and repair common issues; assist on advanced calls.
• Handle refrigerant recovery, recycling, recharging, and leak detection per EPA regs.
• Conduct system performance checks and basic balancing to improve efficiency.
• Lead standard service calls: assess issues on-site, communicate with customers, coordinate parts, and follow up for satisfaction.
• Document all work for billing, warranty, and quality tracking.
• Assist senior technicians on complex repairs, startups, or large equipment; mentor Level I technicians.
• Maintain clean, organized vehicles and tools; follow safety protocols.
