Job summary

HI-VAC Air Conditioning Service in Sunrise, FL, seeks an HVAC Service Technician. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing a wide range of residential and light commercial AC systems, servicing RTUs up to 25 tons, and handling routine maintenance calls.

You'll read wiring diagrams, advise customers on repairs and upgrades, and clearly communicate diagnoses and invoicing. We offer ongoing training, a paid NATE certification program, and a supportive family-owned team culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a service technician in residential/light commercial work.
• EPA Universal Certification required; NATE training provided.
• Knowledge of TRANE equipment is a plus; Spanish language skills are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and repair on residential and light commercial AC systems.
• RTUs up to 25 tons and residential equipment in light commercial settings.
• Routine maintenance calls and read/interpet wiring diagrams.
• Consult with customers on repairs, upgrades and replacement options.

HVAC Service Technician | $28.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience + Spiffs and Bonuses

Work Schedule: 8:00am to 5:00pm | Monday through Friday | occasional overtime

Qualifications:

• 3+ years' experience as a Service Technician, residential and/or light commercial
• EPA Universal Certification
• NATE certification - we train
• Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques
• Certificate of completion from a HVAC Technical School
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Knowledge of TRANE equipment a plus
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent

Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment.
