Job summary

Moore Heating & Air Condidtioning in Parker, CO is seeking a detail-oriented HVAC service technician to maintain and repair air quality systems. You will diagnose problems, explain costs to customers in clear terms, and order parts after approval.

The role includes servicing and calibrating equipment, updating records, and communicating with a supervisor; boiler knowledge is a plus and after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean, adjust and repair HVAC systems and perform warranty services.
• Troubleshoot defective systems and diagnose issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on furnaces, coils, AHUs, ACs and heat pumps.
• Improve IAQ by recommending and installing related products.
• Repair and adjust vents and ductwork; ensure condensate drainage.
• Complete daily logs and maintain service truck.
• Order parts after customer approval and communicate with supervisor.

Job Description:

We are looking to hire a detail-oriented HVAC service technician to maintain and repair our customers' air quality systems. The HVAC service technician will assist with repairing and calibrating systems, and replacing various components such as transformers, thermostats and compressors. You will diagnose problems, explain these to customers in clear, nontechnical terms, relay costs to customers, and offer alternative solutions. You will order and collect parts once the customer gives approval and communicate with a supervisor regarding challenges. Hot water/boiler knowledge is a plus.

To ensure success your customer skills should be as good as your technical aptitude, and you need to be well-versed in safety precautions. Top candidates are detail-oriented, organized and friendly.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning, adjusting and repairing HVAC systems, and performing warranty services.


• Troubleshooting defective HVAC systems and equipment to make diagnoses.


• Performing preventative maintenance by cleaning furnaces, coils, air handling units, air conditioners, and heat pumps, and monitoring and calibrating the units.


• Improving air quality by offering IAQ products to optimize efficiency.


• Fixing, replacing and adjusting vents, and ductwork.


• Ensuring condensation drain line is free of debris and draining properly.


• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.


• Keeping daily logs and records of maintenance functions.


• Maintaining service truck.

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.


• 3+ year HVAC experience.


• Valid driver's license and good driving record.


• Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.


• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.


• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.


• Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.


• Physically agile, dexterous, and able to work in confined spaces.


• Nate certification preferred but not needed. But willing to get.
