Job description

Rolls Mechanical is a premier mechanical contractor that services the entire state of Michigan and are looking to grow their Service Estimating team. We are looking for an experienced HVAC Service Estimator to join our team, ideally with 5+ years of prior experience in the field or with estimating.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Build, price, prepare, send small to mid-size HVAC service estimates derived from field technicians
• Provide lead times to customers
• Ensure proposals consider proper lifting equipment, safety equipment, personnel, and tools
• Confirm receipt of materials, tools, equipment, etc. and communicate with dispatch department when material is ready and/or delayed- express lead time extensions to customers and provide creative solutions to customers when existing lead times are not acceptable
• If necessary, visit jobsites to evaluate complex repairs and replacements to ensure proposals are accurate
• Evaluate proposed time and material from technicians to ensure that all time and material is included in the proposals before being presented to customers
• Communicate with field technicians when discrepancies arise
• Work with department heads to ensure all proposals are timely and accurate
• Prioritize workload so that service work with the highest priority is quoted quickly and sent to job contacts
• Follow up on existing proposals with job contacts to help customers ensure equipment is operating and achieve target sales goals
• Work with other estimators to ensure all quotes are being sent out and followed up on in timely fashion.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Applicant must have 5 years HVAC/R experience as a field technician or estimator

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Excel, Word, fundamental use of the Google Suite of applications, and computer competency

ADDITIONAL NOTES

• This position is M-F, 8-4:30, minus 30-minute lunch break shift. This position does not include a company vehicle. A vehicle will be provided if/when jobsite visits are required.
