Job summary

Gulfstream Strategic Placements, LLC is seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator to prepare take-offs, estimate projects, and build winning bids for large commercial HVAC ventures in the San Francisco area. The role includes mentoring junior estimators and coordinating with contractors, designers and engineers to refine cost data.

Candidates should have 4+ years in HVAC estimating, familiarity with OSHPD and state codes, and hands-on experience with Trimble, QuickPen/Accubid, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of estimating field experience on large commercial HVAC projects.
• Knowledge of OSHPD and state building codes preferred.
• Experience with Trimble, QuickPen/Accubid, and MS Office.

Job description

We are a large growing mechanical contractor that works on many large mechanical hvac and plumbing projects. This is a full-time position with great benefits, retirement package, and plenty of room for career growth.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare HVACEstimate take-offs.
• Estimating projects and major buyout of projects.
• Build effective, profitable winning bids for upcoming projects.
• Manage HVACEstimating Department, and mentor Jr/Mid-Level HVACEstimators.
• Coordinate with general contractors, designers and engineers on identifying changes or modifications for estimates.
• Meet with clients to develop and evaluate necessary data that needs to be gathered to complete project costs.

Requirements:

• Local
• 4+ years ofEstimating field experience working on large commercial HVAC projects.
• Knowledge in: OSHPD, and other State Building Codes are preferred.
• Software knowledge in Trimble, Quickpen/Accubid, Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel), and other estimating software are a plus.
