Baker Distributing is seeking a Sales Center Manager to lead and grow an HVAC wholesale operation. You will oversee sales, inventory, procurement, and staff across showroom, warehouse, and delivery functions while protecting profitability and safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, P&L literacy, and the ability to manage multiple teams in a fast-paced environment. A proactive, results-driven mindset and solid HVAC knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in similar field.
• HVAC industry operations experience 2–4 years in wholesale distribution.
• Proficiency with air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment.
• Track record of sales, operations, purchasing and inventory management.
• Experience mentoring employees and setting business goals.
• Strong interpersonal skills for sales, problem solving and customer service.
• Ability to read and interpret P&L statements.
• Capable of fast-paced multitasking.
• Willingness to learn, teach and lead.
• Mechanical/technical background.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Represent Baker as a leader to maximize sales and profitability.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage showroom merchandising.
• Manage inventory turns and minimize losses.
• Stay informed on product line changes and respond to threats with regional input.
• Oversee Center P&L.
• Recruit, hire, train, and lead a diverse workforce.
• Train and manage Warehouse, Shipping, Drivers, Showroom, and Sales staff.
• Interact with customers, outside salespeople, and vendors.
• Maintain professional and courteous interactions.
• Coordinate Center training and company events.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE usage.
• Report hazards and incidents promptly.
• Participate in safety training and drills.
• Keep workspace clean and safe.
• Follow safety guidelines for equipment operation.
• Maintain professional demeanor in all interactions.
• Oversee safety measures across the branch.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
