Job summary

Walmart in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a skilled Technician, Facility Services for HVAC and refrigeration systems. You will install, calibrate, and service complex systems, adhering to building codes and safety standards, with on‑call rotation and regional service responsibilities.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, mentoring junior technicians, and coordinating with managers and external providers to ensure timely, compliant service delivery.

Qualifications

HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ field experience in commercial HVAC/R.
EPA 608 refrigerant handling certification (Type I/II or Universal).
Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
Commercial driving experience and no major violations in last 3 years.
Journeyman status where required.
Preferred: completion of a 2-year HVAC/R program.
Experience reading blueprints and schematics.
Experience with hand and power tools and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

Install and service HVAC/refrigeration systems per plans and codes.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
Lead field teams and mentor Technicians and Apprentices.
Drive company vehicle and participate in on‑call rotations.
Maintain OSHA and EPA 608 compliance across activities.
