Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking an experienced Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration in Newnan, GA. You will install and service HVAC/refrigeration systems, troubleshoot electrical and refrigerant issues, and perform preventive maintenance across multiple sites.

The role requires EPA 608 certification, HVAC/R experience, and a valid driver’s license. You may mentor apprentices and participate in on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
• Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• HVAC‑R/ Mechanical Journeyman where required.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within 5 years.
• No more than two moving violations in last 3 years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial vehicle in last 3 years.
• No serious traffic violations under FMCSA rules in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems including ductwork and controls.
• Diagnoses and resolves mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Implements preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Maintains and repairs racks, walk-ins, reach-ins, and supermarket refrigeration units.
• Drives company vehicle to service calls and participates in on-call rotation.
