Job summary

Walmart in Hilton Head Island, SC is seeking an HVAC/R Technician to install, configure, and service commercial refrigeration and building automation systems. You will interpret plans, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with customers, managers, and technicians to keep equipment running smoothly.

This role requires EPA refrigerant handling certification, a valid driver’s license, and experience reading blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification and 2 years of mechanical maintenance or construction experience.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal refrigerant handling certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems and related components.
• Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial systems.
• Leads field teams and mentors apprentices on procedures and safety.
• Maintains supermarket refrigeration units and building controls.
• Drives company vehicle to service calls and coordinates with customers.
