Job summary

Walmart Georgetown, TX location is seeking an HVAC/R technician to install and service refrigeration and HVAC systems, including ductwork, controls, and energy management. You will interpret plans, calibrate systems, diagnose refrigerant issues, and lead maintenance efforts across multiple facilities.

You will coordinate with managers and technicians, follow OSHA and EPA 608 protocols, and mentor apprentices while serving customers with clear explanations of service outcomes.

Qualifications

• Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Option 2: 4 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
• Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.

Responsibilities

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
• Implements preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and minimize downtimes.
• Leads field teams and mentors less-experienced Technicians and Apprentices on procedures and safety practices.
• Communicates effectively with customers to explain technical issues and service outcomes.
