Job summary

DeBra-Kuempel is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Service Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, and repair of heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. Candidate will diagnose equipment, read schematics, and utilize computer-based technology.

The role requires working with electrical components, following SOPs, and responding to emergency service calls. Strong communication and safety skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC/R mechanic work including installation and maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose, maintain, adjust, repair, and replace HVAC systems and components.
• Experience working with electrical components and reading schematics/blueprints.
• Willing to learn and effectively utilize computer-based technology.
• Proficient in electrical safety procedures and PPE selection.
• Strong analytical and safety decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heating and cooling equipment per plan.
• Install and startup various HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose, repair and perform scheduled maintenance on HVAC/R systems.
• Communicate with customers about tasks, issues, and impacts.
• Advise the HVAC Service Manager on progress, labor, and materials.
• Order replacement parts as needed.
• Work with electrical components from disconnect to equipment.
• Submit reports and document work hours and materials.
• Respond to emergency service calls as required.
• Follow SOPs and contribute to SOP improvements.
