Job summary

DeBra-Kuempel is seeking a skilled HVAC/R Service Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, and repair of heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. The role includes diagnosing HVAC/R equipment, following SOPs, and responding to emergency service calls.

The ideal candidate has experience with electrical components, reading schematics/blueprints, and using computer-based technology.

Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC/R maintenance, installation and repair.
• Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC systems and components.
• Proficient with electrical safety and PPE selection.
• Strong communication and planning skills.
• Comfortable using computer-based tech and digital reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heating and cooling equipment.
• Install and startup HVAC equipment as needed.
• Diagnose, repair and perform scheduled maintenance on HVAC/R systems.
• Communicate with customers about tasks, issues and impacts.
• Advise HVAC Service Manager on progress and material needs.
• Order replacement parts as needed.
• Work with electrical components from disconnect to equipment.
• Submit reports and document hours and work performed.
• Respond to emergency service calls as required.
• Follow SOPs and create/update procedures as needed.
