Job summary

Hussmann is seeking HVAC-R technicians to maintain, diagnose, and repair refrigeration systems in supermarkets and cold storage facilities. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and complete service tickets under supervision from a Lead Technician.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• HVAC-R technical school degree is preferred.
• External candidates: 5+ years field experience or 3 years with certification.
• Internal candidates: 1 year as Qualified Technician with OJT and skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed, routine maintenance procedures on supermarket refrigeration systems and self-contained temperature-controlled merchandisers.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration, heating and air conditioning systems with some supervision.
• Complete work tickets and time sheets accurately and timely.
• Maintain and manage vehicle and inventory per program guidelines.
• Develop and maintain customer relations and communicate malfunctions clearly.
