Job summary

Hussmann is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Technician to maintain and repair supermarket refrigeration systems and related HVAC components. You will diagnose, install, and service self-contained case units and walk-in coolers, with strong attention to safety and compliance.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, EPA 608 Universal Certification, and 5 years of field experience (or 3 with a technical school certificate).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• 5 years field experience or 3 years with HVAC/R technical school certification (external); 1 year as a qualified technician for internal candidates.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on supermarket refrigeration systems and self-contained merchandisers with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration, heating and air-conditioning systems in supermarkets, convenience stores, and cold storage facilities.
• Complete work tickets and time sheets accurately and professionally; use a handheld computer for invoicing and paperwork.
• Maintain and manage truck inventory and adhere to vehicle maintenance program guidelines.
• Understand basic electrical schematics and TEV troubleshooting; operate safely with R290 refrigerant.
