Job summary

DeBra-Kuempel is seeking an HVAC/R Service Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, and repair of heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. The role requires diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC/R equipment, reading schematics and blueprints, and using computer-based technology.

Ideal candidate will have experience with electrical components, and possess HVAC/R license and EPA certification.

Qualifications

Experience in HVAC/R mechanic work including installation and maintenance.
Ability to diagnose, maintain, adjust, repair, and replace HVAC systems and components.
Proficient in using computer-based technology.
Proficient in electrical safety procedures.
Skilled in risk assessment and PPE selection for tasks.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
Good organizational, communication and planning skills.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heating and cooling equipment per the preventive maintenance program.
Install and startup HVAC equipment.
Diagnose, repair, and perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance on existing HVAC/R systems and equipment.
Communicate with customers regarding planned tasking, issues, or impacts.
Advise the HVAC Service Manager of job progress and material/labor requirements.
Order replacement parts as needed.
Work with electrical components from disconnect through equipment.
Submit reports as required by supervisor.
Respond to emergency service calls during and outside of normal working hours.
Document hours worked, tasks performed, materials used, and processes involved.
Follow SOPs and create/revise SOPs as needed.
