Job summary

Schneider Electric’s Field Service Representatives play a key role by performing startup, repair and preventive maintenance on HVAC&R equipment in diverse environments. Training is provided on products, digital and physical tools, with vehicles, uniforms, devices and laptops supplied for daily use.

The role is site-based in the U.S. with occasional nonstandard hours; a 40-hour guarantee plus overtime is typical, and travel to customer sites is common.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or trade/vocational certification in HVAC&R.
• Thorough understanding of HVAC&R service and related electrical work.
• 3-5 years HVAC&R service experience, ideally servicing complex equipment.
• Universal EPA certification and knowledge of refrigeration, chillers, hydronics, and controls.
• 2+ years in Field Services or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong safety practices and adherence to safety procedures.
• NFPA-70E or OSHA experience preferred.
• Safe driving and vehicle operations skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and company digital tools.
• Ability to write service reports and communicate with customers.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds; withstand varied environments.
• English proficiency to communicate with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Pre-site startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modification of equipment.
• Problem solving with customers, electricians, sales partners, and support teams.
• Complete field service reports, expense reports, and startup data sheets.
• Collaborate with Manager/Regional Service Director to resolve escalated issues.
• Continuous learning and training on products in field and classroom.
• Travel regionally or nationally for local or countrywide support.
• Assist senior technicians on larger system start-ups.
• Work with larger teams of FSRs and Project Managers on complex projects.
• Act on behalf of District Service Manager to resolve operational issues.
