Job summary

Johnstone Supply is seeking a Counter Sales Associate I to serve customers in our HVAC/R parts store. You will greet customers, advise on product selections, process quotes, and handle transactions, while supporting store profitability and teamwork.

You will research products, assist with special orders, and coordinate cross-branch stock to meet customer needs. Strong communication and front-line service are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1+ years of related experience and/or training in a wholesale/retail environment; front line customer service experience.
• Able to run a point-of-sale terminal and research HVAC/R items; proficient with computers and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with product selections; build relationships with regular customers.
• Provide HVAC/R information, technical support, and special ordering; maintain store profitability and teamwork.
• Research products across branches and coordinate transportation to customer locations.
• Process quotes, warranties, returns, and related paperwork; manage cash and orders accurately.
• Follow up on information requests, quotes, and delivery dates; inform customers of delays.
