Job summary

IES Residential seeks an experienced HVAC Project Manager to oversee field and office coordination from kickoff to closeout, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence across residential construction projects in Houston. Qualifications

  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, installation practices, construction operations, and scheduling.
  • Ability to read HVAC drawings, specs, equipment schedules, contracts, and related docs.
  • Strong leadership, organization, planning, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project/financial records.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and PM software.
  • Ability to work independently and with teams.
  • Strong customer-service and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to lead project teams and drive projects to completion.
  • Professional demeanor with customers and partners.
  • English language proficiency required; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, labor plans, material requirements, and timelines.
  • Coordinate HVAC installation activities with field staff, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Review plans, specs, contracts, and equipment schedules for accuracy.
  • Monitor progress, labor productivity, material usage, costs, and overall performance.
  • Oversee purchasing, delivery, and availability of HVAC equipment and materials.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate status, risks, and needs to stakeholders.
  • Manage contracts, submittals, change orders, POs, schedules, and reports.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and equipment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with plans, codes, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, start-up, punch-list, warranty, and closeout.
  • Support billing, invoicing, forecasting, and cost reporting.
  • Build positive relationships with customers, builders, subcontractors, vendors, and teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
