Johnstone-Supply is seeking a Project Estimator to determine costs, select appropriate products, assess benefits and drawbacks, and prepare documentation to help clients and the organization make informed decisions for projects.

The role involves analyzing project documents, researching suppliers, negotiating prices, and creating bids while coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal staff to meet deadlines and drive business growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with two years HVAC/R related experience or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of current construction standards and ability to read equipment schedules and mechanical blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Analyze plans, bills of quantities, schedules, and other documents to estimate costs.
• Research and negotiate with suppliers to obtain best prices and quotes.
• Determine project timeline considering material pricing, budgets, quotes and potential setbacks.
• Assess risk and track variations to plans.
• Prepare bids, proposals, and submittal data for projects.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal staff to gather data.
• Continually market the company and look for future opportunities to grow business.
• Meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with various commercial, ductless, unitary, software, web tools and manufacturers web tools.
