Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an HVAC Project Engineer to support project planning, scope definition, coordination and pre-construction activities. This on-site role involves translating concepts into HVAC system solutions and coordinating with project developers, engineers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic engineering, electricity and mechanical HVAC systems.
• Ability to communicate with subcontractors to obtain critical proposal information.
• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction or Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate project concepts into defined HVAC system solutions using Trane products and controls.
• Define project scope, develop installation budgets, and prepare basic schematics for smaller projects.
• Gather data, drawings, and site conditions to develop project scopes and estimates.
• Identify risks, constructability issues, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead or support pre-bid meetings with teams and subcontractors.
