Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an HVAC Project Engineer to translate project concepts into defined HVAC system solutions and manage pre-construction planning. You will work with project developers, estimators, managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure clear scope, budget, and schedule.

The role requires a background in electrical/mechanical engineering, knowledge of HVAC systems, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or Engineering Technology.
• Experience in building construction industry preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and electrical basics.

Responsibilities

• Translate project concepts into defined HVAC system solutions using Trane products and controls.
• Develop installation budgets and scopes of work for projects; prepare basic schematics for smaller jobs.
• Gather and evaluate project data, drawings, and site conditions to define scopes and costs.
• Lead or support pre-bid meetings; coordinate subcontractor outreach and pricing.
• Support decisions on outsourced engineering and validate costs for project readiness.
