Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Building System Surveyor to support HVAC pre-sales at a local branch, coordinating surveys and design deliverables. You will work with COE engineers while maintaining familiarity with local subcontractors and JCI products.

The role emphasizes on-site assessments, collaboration, and adherence to standardized processes to ensure high-quality pre-sale support and successful hand-offs to installation teams.

Qualifications

• HVAC field experience or HVAC sales experience preferred.
• Experience with IP networking concepts (Layer 3).
• Proficiency with CAD software for drawings and designs.
• Competent with Office 365 and SharePoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-time, accurate customer site surveys and design deliverables.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain quotes and pricing proposals.
• Prepare COE survey documentation and deliverables using Salesforce, SharePoint, and Office 365.
• Review costing estimates with local management before submission to sales.
• Maintain documentation and device placement floorplans; adhere to standardized processes.
• Support sales as a local contact to facilitate on-site resolutions.
