Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Equipment Systems Application Engineer to support the construction sales team with pre and post sales activities on building systems and equipment projects. The role involves system configuration, equipment selection, and developing submittals in alignment with contract requirements.

Desirable candidates will have a Bachelor’s in Engineering and demonstrated HVAC knowledge, with strong MS Office, Visio, and AutoCAD skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Demonstrated HVAC industry knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Visio; familiarity with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, selections and limited estimating during project design or proposal phase.
• Assist in developing the customer business case for the conceptual solution.
• Support detailed estimating of projects for Account Execs.
• Prepare proposals and customer communications; generate quotes and RFIs/RFQs.
• Coordinate with Sales to ensure timely material takeoffs and design submittals.
• Manage project P&L and customer satisfaction for assigned projects.
• Coordinate equipment order execution, startup, and payment processes.
• Communicate project progress and financial status to management.
