Job summary

Harris Company in Bowie, MD seeks a Project Manager I to lead site walkthroughs, ensure safety, and support scheduling with general contractors. You will coordinate on safety plans and surveys, provide task durations, and help craft project timelines.

You will develop weekly work plans, adjust plans as needed, and manage labor needs with the manpower coordinator, attending weekly meetings to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management or engineering-related field.
• 3+ years in building/construction industry experience.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction docs.
• Good business admin and management knowledge.
• Familiar with estimating software and CAD tools.
• Experience with Harris' accounting/project & labor software and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform site walkthroughs and inspections.
• Assure site safety compliance with safety plans and tool box talks.
• Provide duration/task information to general contractor for scheduling.
• Provide basic schedules to general contractors and subs.
• Review schedules and give feedback to general contractor.
• Develop weekly/bi-weekly work plans to support schedule.
• Modify work plans as needed and communicate changes.
• Review and manage labor requirements with Manpower coordinator; attend weekly labor meetings.
