Job summary

Uhl Company Inc, a Maple Grove-based HVAC and building systems contractor, seeks a Project Manager/Estimator to lead and estimate commercial HVAC and piping projects. You will engage clients, prepare estimates, and manage execution from bid through project completion.

The role requires prior mechanical PM/estimation experience, robust negotiation, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams. Competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a mechanical project manager and estimator.
• Advanced negotiation skills with suppliers and customers.
• Strong written, verbal, customer service and relationship-building skills.
• High level organizational skills to manage projects.
• Flexible and able to adapt to change.
• Ability to work well with others internally and externally, even under stress.

Responsibilities

• Identify risks and general condition needs.
• Develop project estimates based on plans and specifications.
• Define and communicate trade-specific scope of work to all necessary parties.
• Review and approve all project documents.
• Compile a list of necessary sub-contractors.
• Enter summary data into the recap spreadsheet.
• Participate in post-project reviews.
• Cooperate with others as a company resource.
