Montgomery College is seeking a full-time HVAC Mechanic II for the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. Work hours are Tuesday–Saturday, 6:30am–3:00pm. The role involves skilled HVAC work, installation, operation, and maintenance of building systems under supervision.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of related experience, a Maryland Journeyman HVAC license and EPA Universal 608, with strong knowledge of BAS, DDC and building systems. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in heating, cooling and ventilation systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of DDC and HVAC systems and chiller operations.
• Ability to read blueprints, control diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows-based apps.

Responsabilités

• Maintain, install and repair commercial HVAC systems and subsystems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot air distribution, balancing and insulation issues.
• Repair or replace sensors, transmitters and transducers for control systems.
• Install and retrofit DDC hardware and BAS interfaces.
• Monitor and inspect construction projects for code compliance.
• Maintain records of work performed and equipment logs.
