Job summary

Montgomery College is hiring a full-time HVAC Mechanic II to support the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. Work Tues–Sat, 6:30am–3:00pm, performing installation, operation, and maintenance of HVAC and related systems.

This role requires strong technical skills, problem solving, and the ability to work with diverse teams. Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least five years of HVAC experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Five years of experience in heating, cooling and ventilation systems.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, certification and/or experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install and repair commercial HVAC systems and controls.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot air distribution and BAS issues.
• Repair, retrofit or install DDC hardware and sensors.
• Record maintenance and equipment data.
• Ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
