Montgomery College is hiring a full-time HVAC Mechanic II to support the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. Work Tues–Sat, 6:30am–3:00pm, performing installation, operation, and maintenance of HVAC and related systems.
This role requires strong technical skills, problem solving, and the ability to work with diverse teams. Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least five years of HVAC experience.
Montgomery College is seeking to fill a full-time HVAC Mechanic II position. The position is located at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. Work hours for the position are as follows: Tuesday-Saturday, 6:30am-3:00pm. Under supervision and/or direction, incumbents in this job class perform skilled HVAC work including installation, operation, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and retrofitting. The positions are both grade 23, bargaining, non-exempt positions. For non-exempt positions, you are not eligible to work a secondary job at Montgomery College. Contacts and interaction vary and may involve multiple constituencies such as direct interaction with the faculty, colleagues, managers, directors, students, vendors, assigned staff, contractors and consultants for the purpose of providing and receiving instructions and information. Hiring Range: $26.84 - $34.89 per hour. Initial placement is based on candidate experience and internal equity. The maximum of the range is $42.93. Position is open until filled.
