Job summary

St. Mary's Medical Center seeks a Maintenance Mechanic HVAC II for its Facility Operations Department.

The role performs maintenance, replacement and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, air handling and steam distribution, medical gas and related electrical tasks, with EMS monitoring and programming to optimize energy use. Under supervision, you will coordinate with contractors and staff, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and contribute to reliable building operations

Qualifications

• High school or trade school graduate with courses in air conditioning, welding, shop mechanics and electricity.
• Refrigeration certification and/or an electrical license as required by regulations.
• 3+ years in building control programs could substitute for refrigeration certification and license.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, replacement and repair of HVAC, refrigeration and related systems; includes EMS monitoring and programming.
• Coordinate with contractors and staff; ensure safety compliance and assist on projects as needed.
