Job summary

American Avenue Property Management LLC is seeking an HVAC Residential Maintenance Technician in Pittsburgh, PA. You’ll lead HVAC maintenance for our single-family rental homes, diagnose issues, and repair equipment in the field with minimal supervision.

Requirements include EPA Universal certification, 3+ years of residential HVAC experience, your own truck or van with basic hand tools, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on residential HVAC diagnostics and repair.
• EPA Universal certification is required.
• Own truck or van and hand tools; valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a background check; able to access attics and crawlspaces.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems (split systems, heat pumps, gas furnaces, package units, mini-splits).
• Perform refrigerant work with leak detection, recovery, and charging (EPA 608).
• Service thermostats, condensers, blower motors, capacitors, and board-level troubleshooting.
• Potentially install full systems and change-outs; multi-trade tasks (plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
• Document work with photos in company app; manage resident-facing duties and moves.
