Job summary

Gilbert Public Schools in Gilbert, AZ, seeks an HVAC Journeyman for a 12-month assignment to install, repair and maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems across district facilities. You will diagnose issues, fabricate sheet metal components, coordinate with other trades, and ensure safety and compliance in all work orders.

The role requires journey-level HVAC skills, EPA certification, a valid Arizona DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card, and a driver’s license, with on-site

Qualifications

Experience: Job related experience is required
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Certifications/Clearances: Valid Arizona DPS Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card; EPA Certification; Driver's license

Responsibilities

Assists in repair and installation in other areas of maintenance as needed to complete projects and work orders efficiently.
Coordinates with administration and other trades to complete projects/work orders.
Diagnoses problems and/or failures in HVAC/refrigeration systems to identify repair needs.
Installs heating/air conditioning equipment and systems to provide comfort in facilities.
Inspects facilities and systems for safety and ongoing preventive maintenance.
Repairs various components to ensure safe operation and availability.
