Job summary

Gilbert Unified School District is seeking an HVAC Apprentice for a short-term assignment to maintain heating and cooling systems and refrigeration equipment. The role requires an IVP fingerprint clearance card before processing, and work involves 8-hour days with a pay rate of $19.10 per hour and up depending on experience.

Responsibilities include assisting in repairs, coordinating with trades, diagnosing issues, fabricating metal components, and ensuring safety and preventive maintenance

Qualifications

• Ability to read technical instructions and follow procedures.
• Strong problem solving with routine, documented steps.

Responsibilities

• Assists in repair and installation across maintenance projects to complete work orders efficiently.
• Supports other trades personnel to help finish tasks.
• Coordinates with administration and other trades to complete projects/work orders.
• Diagnoses faults in heating/air conditioning/refrigeration systems to determine repair needs.
• Fabricates sheet metal components as needed for installations or repairs.
• Inspects facilities and systems to ensure safety and preventive maintenance are in place.
