Job summary

Higley Unified School District in Gilbert, AZ is hiring for a Maintenance Trades - HVAC role. Immediate starting date with full-time schedule; 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, with after-hours on occasion. Requires a Refrigeration License Level II, strong knowledge of commercial A/C, and 5+ years of related experience.

Valid IVP fingerprint clearance and clean driving record are required. Responsibilities include routine maintenance and repairs of A/C systems, inventory management, and

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in similar position preferred.
• Minimum High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
• Must have a Refrigeration License, Level II.
• Experience with Energy Management Systems, Chillers, Cooling towers, Package units and Split systems.
• Knowledge of Commercial A/C.
• A valid driver's license and/or a CDL, if driving is required.
• No convictions for felonies or crimes against children.
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Support HUSD Vision, Mission and Goals.
• Responsible for routine maintenance of commercial A/C.
• Responsible for all repairs to A/C systems as needed.
• Familiar with Refrigeration systems such as Walk in Coolers and Freezers/Low Temp.
• Responsible for inventory of all equipment and supplies needed for maintenance and repair of these systems.
• Inspects district systems on a regular basis to ensure system are functioning properly.
• Reports any damage or other maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Perform after hours services as needed.
