Job summary

JLL is seeking an HVAC Journeyman to maintain climate control across our commercial portfolio. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain chillers, boilers, air handlers, and building automation systems, collaborating with property managers and facility teams to ensure safe, compliant operations.

This on-site role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with HVAC apprenticeship, a valid Journeyman license, EPA 608, and 4–6 years of hands-on experience, plus ability to read blueprints and lift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with completion of an HVAC apprenticeship or vocational training.
• Valid Journeyman HVAC license and EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification (Section 608).
• 4–6 years of hands-on experience with commercial HVAC systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, air handlers, and building automation systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system problems to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies with minimal disruption to operations.
• Install new HVAC equipment and components per specs and codes.
• Conduct system start-ups, testing, and commissioning for proper operation and efficiency.
• Maintain service records, work orders, and equipment logs.
• Ensure compliance with EPA refrigerant handling and safety regulations.
