Job summary

McCrea Heating & Air Cond in Maryland is seeking a Replacement Technician to perform HVAC installations and service with a strong emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction.

You will install furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, ductless mini splits, humidifiers, and related equipment, while ensuring code compliance and quality workmanship. EPA CFC certification and a state HVACR apprentice license within 90 days are required.

Qualifications

• HVAC trade knowledge with focus on customer satisfaction.
• Experience installing furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, mini splits and air handling units.
• Ability to work safely with refrigerants, fuels, and up to 480V electricity.
• Willingness to braze with high-temperature torches and handle nitrogen safely.
• Knowledge of local codes and ability to bring homes up to code.
• EPA CFC certification in at least one category and intent to obtain license within 90 days.
• Complete checklists and required paperwork for each job.

Responsibilities

• Install oil/gas furnaces, oil/gas boilers, heat pumps, ductless mini splits.
• Install humidifiers (powered, bypass and steam) and related components.
• Fabricate duct work when required and ensure safe, code-compliant installations.
• Review job with customer and address questions; ensure satisfaction and safety.
• Inspect systems, test, and verify proper operation following installation.
