Job summary

Winters Sheet Metal Inc DBA Winters Heating & Cooling seeks an experienced HVAC Technician to install, service, and repair heating and cooling systems in homes and businesses in Maryland. You will diagnose equipment issues, replace parts, calibrate systems, explain findings to customers, and work with the service team to ensure customer satisfaction.

Applicants should hold EPA certification and a NATE/CFC license, and be able to pass a drug test.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years experience in troubleshooting with proven work record.
• NATE certified; CFC license
• Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
• Ability to work independently in a timely manner.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must pass drug test(s) as required by company.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for commercial and residential customers.
• Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical and electrical components; obtain replacement parts and calibrate per manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Explain issues clearly to customers and provide estimated timelines.
• Profit and involve sales opportunities for new units, upgrades, service contracts, and additional services.
• Coordinate with Service Administrator to follow pre-scheduled work day and report progress.
• Process invoices and accept credit card payments at the job site.
• Read blueprints, plans, and manuals with good analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Maintain vehicle stock, tools and safety equipment in good order.
