Job summary

McCrea Heating & Air Conditioning Services of MD, LLC. is seeking a Lead Installer to join a two-person team and lead residential HVAC installations in Temple Hills, MD. The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction throughout each project.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of HVAC installation practices, ducts fabrication, and the ability to adapt installations to job requirements while complying with codes and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• CFC certification required or must be obtained; company provides training.
• State Journeyman license is a plus; McCrea supports licensure.
• Working knowledge of residential HVAC systems and installation practices.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent communication with customers and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Install and replace residential HVAC equipment, including gas and electric furnaces, heat pumps, geothermal systems, air conditioners, air handlers, water heaters.
• Install ductless mini-split systems and related components.
• Service dehumidification and humidification systems.
• Modify, fabricate, and adjust ductwork.
• Safely work with refrigerants, natural gas, and propane systems.
• Safely work with electrical systems and up to 480 volts, 3-phase.
• Perform brazing and HVAC installation procedures with torches and fuel gases.
• Safely use high-pressure nitrogen and refrigerants during installation.
• Use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and other installation gear.
• Complete installations professionally with high workmanship and customer service.
• Follow safety procedures, building codes, manufacturer specifications, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
