Elmar Heating & Cooling, based in Timonium, Maryland, is seeking a Lead HVAC Installation Technician to manage residential installations from start to finish and lead a crew in the Greater Baltimore area.

Your role includes installing central AC, gas furnaces, heat pumps, and ductless mini-splits, while overseeing apprentices and ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with manufacturer specs. The position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on residential HVAC installation experience
• Ability to independently lead residential HVAC installations
• Experience installing conventional split systems, heat pumps, air handlers, and gas furnaces
• Experience installing and commissioning ductless mini-split systems
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, and mechanical installation issues
• EPA Universal Certification
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow manufacturer installation requirements
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform physical duties of installation including lifting and working in attics/crawl spaces/outdoors

Responsabilités

• Lead residential HVAC installation projects from start to finish
• Install and replace central air systems, gas furnaces, heat pumps, and air handlers
• Install ductless mini-split systems (single-zone and multi-zone)
• Oversee installation helpers and junior technicians, providing direction and training
• Perform equipment startups, commissioning, system testing, and final quality checks
• Troubleshoot installation challenges and make sound technical decisions in the field
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and manufacturer specs
• Ensure installations meet local codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and provide a positive customer experience
• Maintain clean, safe, organized job sites
