Job summary

Carrier Enterprise is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer for Commercial HVAC products in Richmond, VA or Hanover, MD or Herndon, VA. You will act as a technical advisor to the commercial sales team, configure, price, and quote technical solutions, and support dealers and contractors.

The role requires reading architectural blueprints, understanding electrical and mechanical systems, strong communication, CRM usage, and a willingness to travel with the sales team to events and sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technical Field or equivalent successful experience in a similar technical role.
• 3-5+ years of commercial HVAC engineering or applications experience, or technical knowledge of HVAC.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Business Opportunities: generate quotes for commercial sales with assigned accounts.
• Support Sales Team: assist Account Managers and Sales Managers with new and existing accounts and introduce new products to engineers and contractors.
• Complete bids and submittals: prepare bids, submittals, and take-offs based on plans and specifications.
• Follow up on quotes, bids, and submittals to close sales.
• Engage with customers, manufacturers, and the sales team via phone and email.
• Travel with the Sales Team to support presentations and trade shows.
