Job summary

Carrier Enterprise in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer for Commercial HVAC products. You will partner with the commercial sales team as a technical advisor, configuring, pricing, and quoting solutions to win projects.

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field and 3-5+ years of HVAC applications experience are required. Strong communication, blueprints literacy, and ability to work remotely with self-management are essential; travel with the team may be involved.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of commercial HVAC engineering or applications experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Field or equivalent
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with strong self-management

Responsibilities

• Respond to new business opportunities and produce competitive quotes for commercial sales accounts
• Prepare quotes for rooftops, commercial split systems, water source heat pumps, VRF and more
• Suggest add-ons to increase sales and invoice value
• Assist account managers with development and introduce new products to engineers
• Complete bids, submittals, and take-offs from plans and specs for projects
• Follow up quotes, bids, and submittals through the sales cycle to close deals
• Engage with customers, manufacturers, and internal teams via phone and email
• Provide training and support to Commercial dealers to grow product knowledge
• Communicate customer needs and market opportunities to support growth
• Travel with the Sales Team as needed for client meetings and trade shows
