Job summary

DMG North is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Engineer II to support Outside Sales Engineers, handle equipment selections, estimates, proposals, and submittals for commercial HVAC projects in the Bay Area. The role emphasizes independent work, multitasking, and serving as a technical resource for customers and the sales team.

You will review drawings, specifications, and schedules, perform selections using software, prepare quotations, and coordinate with manufacturers to ensure timely

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years in commercial HVAC inside sales, estimating, or similar technical sales support.
• Experience reviewing mechanical plans and specifications.
• Experience preparing HVAC proposals and bid packages.
• Experience generating equipment submittals.

Responsibilities

• Support Outside Sales Engineers throughout the sales process.
• Review mechanical drawings, project specs and schedules.
• Independently perform HVAC equipment selections using manufacturer software.
• Prepare accurate equipment quotations and proposals.
• Develop complete equipment submittal packages for awarded projects.
• Provide technical support to engineers, contractors, and owners.
• Coordinate with manufacturers regarding pricing, questions, and lead times.
• Maintain project information in the CRM.
• Coordinate project schedules and equipment delivery timelines.
• Ensure smooth project handoff to Project Coordinators and Project Managers.
• Build strong relationships with customers, engineers, contractors, and factory partners.
• Provide engineering assistance throughout the life of the project.
