Job summary

Mechanical Concepts LLC in the New Orleans / Metairie area is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Engineer to join our growing operation. This technical estimating role focuses on reviewing construction plans, selecting commercial HVAC equipment, preparing estimates and proposals, and supporting commercial and industrial projects.

No HVAC industry experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided to help you develop project estimating skills and hands-on engineering knowledge within

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (any discipline).
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and computer skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Strong academic performance or demonstrated work ethic preferred.
• No prior HVAC industry experience required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze construction plans and specifications for commercial mechanical systems.
• Select appropriate HVAC equipment and develop optimized project solutions.
• Prepare accurate pricing, estimates, and detailed proposals.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors regarding equipment selection, pricing, and availability.
• Communicate with contractors, engineers, manufacturers, and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate and organized projects, quotation, and bid documentation.
• Provide technical support for customer inquiries and ongoing projects.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
• Develop technical product knowledge through ongoing training.
