Job summary

Ambient Enterprises is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to quote, design, order, and track HVAC equipment for engineering firms and contractors in the NYC Metro area, Long Island, and Westchester. You will work with Outside Sales to move deals faster with accuracy and attention to detail.

You will gain exposure to iconic building projects in New York City and beyond, coordinating with manufacturers and clients while providing top-tier technical support and timely proposals.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
• 1–2 years in the HVAC industry preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication is key.

Responsibilities

• Support Outside Salespersons by coordinating with their clients, deals and projects.
• Use selection software to design HVAC systems for engineers and contractors.
• Review design plans and provide pricing estimates.
• Create proposals and generate pricing for contractors.
• Order, process and track equipment sales through manufacturers.
• Follow up to ensure orders progress with adequate lead times.
• Maintain clear communication with clients.
• Provide packets describing equipment on site and maintenance guides.
• Coordinate training for equipment or tech services.
