Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a field-based HVAC technician to be the primary service contact for on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems at customer locations. You will work with blueprints, diagnose equipment, and collaborate with internal/external partners to ensure project success while maintaining high safety and reliability standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 5+ years in HVAC, and EPA certification, with valid driver’s

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• typically 5 plus years of experience in HVAC.
• Technical School or formal training is preferred.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• EPA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs by forecasting issues and gathering materials.
• Represent the company by serving as the direct customer contact and maintain customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment on site.
• Use blueprints/engineering specs and tools to diagnose and repair units, and stay flexible for overtime or overnight work when required.
