Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a field-based HVAC technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and commission systems at customer sites in a defined market. You will apply air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts to deliver reliable service for commercial customers.

The role requires a high school diploma or technical training, with 0–2 years of HVAC experience. Training on newest technologies is provided, with benefits and growth opportunities in a leading manufacturing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 0–2 years HVAC experience.
• Technical school or formal training is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to use handheld devices.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with clean driving record in last 3 years.
• EPA Certification preferred (e.g. HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with team leader and customer to understand on-site installation and repairs.
• Represents the company as direct customer contact, ensuring satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment at the site.
• Uses software, tools, and blueprints to diagnose and repair HVAC units.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed, including occasional overnight stays.
• Enforces safety and maintains asset security and accountability.
