Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an on-site HVAC Field Service Technician to perform start-up, maintenance, testing, and repair of IT cooling and refrigerant systems. You will troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment, read schematics, and provide efficient customer engineering support on-site.

Responsibilities include leak detection, refrigerant reclamation, power equipment field support, and accurate service documentation. EPA 608 certification and 2–5 years of HVAC experience are required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience.
• EPA Section 608 certification.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, electrical drawings, and BOMs.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication with customers, employees, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site customer service for HVAC cooling products, including start-up, preventive and remedial maintenance, field modification, and testing.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration and electro-mechanical equipment using schematics, drawings, procedures, and test equipment.
• Repair or replace equipment as necessary and perform refrigerant system work including leak detection and evacuation.
• Provide field support and technical assistance to customers, third-party servicers, and end users.
• Prepare installation, testing, repair, and support documentation and maintain service records.
