Job summary

Hudson Technologies is seeking a Service Technician II to join our U.S. field service team. As an intermediate-level technician, you’ll perform HVAC/R service and refrigerant recovery with minimal supervision, mentoring junior Tech I staff and handling complex assignments as you grow.

You will diagnose issues in chillers and refrigeration systems, interact with customers, and support retrofit projects while coordinating on-site logistics and safety practices to ensure top-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on HVAC/R field service experience.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification is required.
• OSHA-10 safety training is required; OSHA-30 is a plus.
• DOT driving compliance; valid license and DOT readiness.
• Forklift operation certification is required or to be obtained.
• Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of chillers and refrigerant systems.
• Ability to read manuals and wiring diagrams; proficient with service reports.

Responsibilities

• Independent field work on service calls and refrigerant recovery with minimal supervision.
• Advanced troubleshooting on chillers and refrigeration systems.
• Support on complex projects like retrofit conversions or chiller decontamination.
• On-site coordination of tools, materials, and inventory.
• Mentor junior Tech I team members on procedures and safety.
• Direct client communication and on-site leadership.
