Job summary

AAON, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Field Service Technician I in Tulsa, OK. This entry-level role supports installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC equipment at customer sites, under general supervision.

You will assist with commissioning, testing, and operational verification, while providing excellent customer service. The position emphasizes safety, documentation, and ongoing training to develop field service expertise in HVAC systems.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or GED.
2+ years in technical service, HVAC, industrial repair, or related field.
Preferred: Associate degree or vocational training in HVAC/electrical/mechanical systems.
EPA or HVAC-related certifications.

Responsibilities

Assist in installation, startup, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment at customer locations.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance for reliability.
Diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and controls issues; escalate complex problems.
Document service activities, parts usage, and customer interactions.
Communicate status, findings, and recommendations to customers professionally.
Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles to company standards.
